Sonal is the founder and creative director at Lotus Haus Interiors, an Interior Design studio based in San Ramon, CA. Her all time mantra is "Live in Design" as design makes life more interesting and beautiful!

She got her start in Interior and exterior design by renovating and decorating spaces over the years to make them more functional and visually appealing while raising her family. She has a Masters degree in Economics and a Diploma in Interior Design.

Her travels around the world and within California have inspired her to design spaces that blend colors, patterns, textiles, natural stone, art, lighting, furniture, plants and vintage accessories into a harmonious living space.

 

She has hands on experience with mosaics and an appreciation for the exotic elegance of Spanish, Portuguese Zelige and Talavera tiles which she loves to incorporate in her interior and exterior design. Her passion for plants has led her to design lush softscapes and custom fountains, creating tranquil, nature inspired environments.

 

​Her design entails thoughtful layering, each element working together to tell a story. While her favorite design styles are Contemporary with a Bohemian flair and Mid-Century Modern, she is comfortable working across a variety of design styles and color palettes including elegant neutrals.
